The SERKEM solution in detail

To work with an efficient label management, there´s often a third-party solution used. But the label printing and label management can be also handled directly in the SAP system through the SERKEM solution. The necessity for usage of third-party systems is dropped and the label can be directly printed out of the SAP system. All functions are mapped in SAP standard.

At the base of SAP forms the labels are automatically generated according to relevant specifications. Whether for purchase, shipping, production, invoicing or for the warehouse, all labels can be printed properly and customer-individually with the solution in SAP standard.

Comprehensive information

Basically, all information which exists in SAP can be printed on the label. It´s just a customer-individually decision, which kind of information is important for the relevant label and has to be printed. Subsequent customizing like change of account or change in address can be easily carried out.

Shipping label of different service providers

The shipping labels are exactly printed according to the specifications of the relevant service provider out of the SAP system. The SERKEM template for this solution contains the label of the following service providers. Which from that are used, can be individually chosen at the project beginning:

Integration of a tracking number

During printing of the shipping label, the tracking numbers of the relevant CEP or LSP service providers are integrated immediately. In the course of LSP and CEP integration in SAP, the SAP label printing solution is integrated by default.

Support of different barcode types

Barcodes for the label can be created in any desired way. Also the size can be individually customized. The following barcode types are supported from the SAP system:

QR code
Data matrix
Aztec code
Code 128
Code 39

Compatible printer

Normally all standard printer can be used for label printing. In practice the experience shows, that established label printer like zebra provide in any case an error-free result and supply with unlimited range of functions a wide spectrum of benefits. The labels are normally printed in black and white because label printer rarely support color printing. If this should be possible with your printer, colorful label are also possible.
