SAP EWM MFS has the option of determining the current position of the transport systems on the basis of reporting points integrated on the site. In addition all DTS devices are mapped as resources in the SAP EWM system. If different DTSs are to be managed in an EWM system, they can also be assigned to different resource groups. The combination of reporting points and driverless transport systems as resources makes it possible to go to any destination in the warehouse.

The integration in SAP EWM MFS means that all warehouse movements are available in SAP EWM. It is possible at any time to determine, call up or change the transport systems and the associated warehouse tasks. A completely standardized control is thus possible via the central warehouse management monitor in SAP EWM.

SAP EWM MFS uses various decision criteria to determine the right goals and sends this information directly to the transport system. The automatic destination determination is paired with a corresponding load control. This optimizes the transport routes and ensures that all transport systems are moving as evenly as possible.

In order to be able to control the DTS as precisely as possible, the GPS data of the devices are recorded and passed on to the SAP system. Therefore it is possible to determine the exact position at any time, regardless of the reporting points stored in the system. In this way, the vehicles can be steered to the destination points even more efficiently and effectively if required.
