AMAZON connection in SAP

Through the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) connection, information can be transferred electronically between two different companies.

With the SERKEM add-on ‚Amazon connection in SAP‘, structured data like orders or invoices can be transferred between Amazon and the SAP-system. All processes along the supply chain can be automated processed through the standardized data transfer. Thereby, manual work is dropped, the error risk will be minimized and the process operation accelerated.

Settings in the SAP system

Before the transfer over the EDI connection can take place, SAP-sided settings have to be made for different message types.

Data Types

Data Types build the structure of data in message types. They contain elements and attributes of type definitions. Data Types are defined as abstract types in the XML scheme, which are not bound to an element yet.

A Message Type includes a data type, which describes the structure of the message. Because of technical reasons, one data type is not enough to describe the entity of a message. The Message Type defines the root element of a message.
