SAP Fiori 

SAP Fiori enables the mobile access to important applications of the SAP S/4HANA-plattform or the SAP Business Suite.  SAP Fiori is realized with the SAPUI5 framework. Due to the SAP-own HTML5 framework, the Fiori platform is independently useable and requires only a browser-capable device. The usage with mobile devices like smartphones, tablets or desktop-PCs is guaranteed.

With SAP Fiori important functions can be used mobile, for example, to confirm travel or purchase requests, to update customer data or to create vacation requests. The application is designed, so that it is intuitively usable without any SAP knowledge or schooling.

The access to Fiori is provided via the central SAP Fiori Launchpad. The login takes place via a role-based single-sign-on-mechanism (SSO) which ensures secure authentification.

 

The Fiori apps are available for the SAP on-premise and for the SAP on-demand solution. During implementation of SAP Fiori you can choose between predefined applications or create individual solutions that suit the specific request.

The latest version is SAP Fiori 2.0 that contains overview pages, list reports, object pages and also new SAP Fiori elements which can be further developed with the SAP Web IDE.

System requirements

The mobile applications depend on the type of Fiori apps as well as the following software components:

  • anyDB (Database)
  • SAP NetWeaver (recommended NetWeaver 7.4) Frond- and Back-End components
  • SAP-Business-Suite-Product (Fiori APP)
  • SAP Web Dispatcher (optional)
  • SAP HANA, Plattform-Edition (When using the SAP HANA apps)
  • SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite (When using the SAP HANA apps)
